Lyrics
Find another songTime
It's gonna do
What it always does
Steals like a thief and it don't let up
Look down that road
It looks so long
You blink your eyes and it's almost gone
No, you don't know what you have when you have it
And maybe that's the point
Young man thinks that he's gonna live forever
Young man drinks like he just turned twenty-one
Young man loves and leaves 'cause he don't know no better
Young man thinks he'll always be young
Young wears a cape
Thinks he can fly
Jumps 'cause he ain't smart enough not to try
Driving like he stole it
Faster than a bullet
Laughing at tomorrow like he's never gonna die
You can try, but you can't tell that boy nothing
He's gotta learn it for himself
Young man thinks that he's gonna live forever
Young man drinks like he just turned twenty-one
Young man loves and leaves 'cause he don't know no better
Young man thinks he'll always be young
No, you don't know what you have when you have it
Oh, and maybe that's the point
Young man, I know you think you're gonna live forever
Young man, take every day as it comes
Someday, you're gonna see an old man in the mirror
So, young man, don't you waste being young
Young man, don't you waste
Being young
