Lyrics
Find another songYou're on New York time
Over here it's way past midnight
I drank a bottle of wine
So I can sleep tonight in silence
You see I've had no time to rest
'Cause my suspicion's been outrunnin' us
And there's no method, no medicine that could cure a love like this
'Cause all this time I've been asleep
You've been dancing with deceit
Lost in another world
But I have chosen to forgive
And if the fool in you forgets
I'll take my love back like a thief, like a thief
They say I'm a one of a kind
I'm like a goldrush running right through you
When I burn, I could turn a world blind (Mmh)
Shake an ocean to the ground (Mmh)
You don't know how much you'll miss me
I'm like a queen inside your kingdom (Mmh)
And there's no king's men, no cavalry
That could ever get me back, no, no
I'll be a thousand miles away
Leave you to your prayers to pray
Lost in another world
But I have chosen to forgive
And if the fool in you forgets
I'll take my love back like a thief, like a thief
Mmh
Like a thief
Like a thief, boy, I will run
Leaving what we have become
Like a thief, boy, I will run
Leaving what we have become
Like a thief, boy, I will run (I will run)
Leaving what we have become (I will run)
Like a thief, boy, I will run (Oh)
I'll take my love back like a thief
And maybe one day you will see
Baby, you held heaven
