Lyrics
Find another songYou were there with me
We always kept a steady pace
Observational humor galore
We had no steps to retrace
Walks in the park with you
I feel a spark for you and your bulldog
You continued to see
Nuance on the brighter side
Even though I wanted more, you know I did
Than you cared to provide
Then I felt that cold steel on the back of my neck
How inconvenient
It seemed pretty careless
But what did I expect?
You were there with me
At least that's how you tell it
I couldn't keep my hands off you
Distracted at sunset
Robbed in the park with you
A sudden stop with you and your bulldog
Pistol-whipped in front of you
You're so stunning, I can hear the applause
Then I felt that cold steel on the back of my neck
So inconvenient
Would these children do something they would regret
But at the time, mean it?
You know I never minded the taste of blood
You were there with me down in the mud
Down in the mud
Down in the mud
Down in the mud
Down in the mud
Down in the mud
Down in the mud
Down in the mud
Down in the mud
